Even after more than twenty-five on the west coast, you can hear Darby Orr's Texas twang. He came to Los Angeles in the early '90s on a songwriting deal with Sony Music, and there found his rootsy heritage mingling with the gratitude, laughter, and joy of the yoga practice. He continues to write music for film and television, produce records for indie artists, and play bass and keys for kirtan bands at yoga studios and festivals. He teaches at Yoga Blend in Burbank, CA, and in private instruction. Between classes and gigs, you can find him sipping a French-press java at the local coffee shop, ranting on Facebook, or at www.darbyorr.com. RYT-500, E-RYT-200.

GURU'D is the brain-child of Alexa Shore, a long-time yogi, runner, and single mom of two daughters. While going through two bouts with breast cancer, she realized the true gift of yoga, which she credits with keeping her focused and strong during her recovery. She created Guru'd to help better connect students and teachers for retreats, workshops, and other joyful events. Alexa can be found online at Guru’d and on twitter at @getgurud.
